Wren Waterjet Technologies Inc. opened in December 2001, specializing in custom Abrasive Waterjet Cutting serving a multitude of manufacturing industries.

Abrasive waterjet is capable of cutting nearly all materials from the hardest metal alloys to soft foam.  The advantage waterjet has over conventional machining processes (laser, plasma, milling etc.) is that there is no heat effected zone, therefore no distortion at the edge.  Waterjet also offers excellent edge quality vs. other machining methods.

We have 2 Flow waterjet machines.  The machines table cutting sizes are Flow 87k dynamic 72” x 144” and Flow 55k 48" x 96" with up to 12" clearance under the jet.  The nominal tool radius is 0.022".  Repeatability to +/- 0.005”.  Pressures up to 87,000 psi.

AutoCAD lt 2008 lt
is the drawing programme used for the creation of part geometry (.dwg format), which can easily be converted to .dxf format in order to develop the tool path.  Flow Path & Flow Cut is the software installed in the Flow 87k Dynamic and  Flow 60k A-Series waterjet machines and as secondary seats on the office computers.

We have 5 personal computers networked with a UPS capable of giving up to 20 minutes of backup power.

Shop equipment includes a 5000 lb. capacity lift truck with side shift, 5 hp air compressor, 4000 sq. ft. manufacturing shop (50' x 80') with grade level entry loading facility, located in an industrial area approx 10 minutes from hwy 401 @ exit 282.
